I enjoy cooking but ONLY when:
ONE: I’m not expected to cook. Isn’t everything a chore when…well, it’s a chore? Argh. Doesn’t every day seem like the same monotonous 24-hours when you are the only one that hears yourself saying, “What do you want for dinner?” Silence.
TWO: When I have a glass of wine in my hand. I get a little anxious when I start cooking. My husband is a RIDICULOUSLY good cook. And, even though I shouldn’t give a shamrock about when he thinks, I do feel slightly inferior. Don’t worry, though, this is the only time I EVER feel inferior.
THREE: I have lovely ingredients that are calling my name! Oh, how much do I squeal when I see fresh cilantro, ripe tomatoes and tons of options to chose from?! So, so much!
FOUR: I have the perfect pairings of spices – the sweets, the salty, the bitter, the sours…it is probably one of the most important things!
As such, many of you have been asking me what type/kind of culinary salt I use – it’s the Original Himalayan Crystal Salt. We have used it for years. Any good cook knows that one of the most important ingredients is SALT; and, any good wellness practitioner knows the importance of finding a safe, quality and healthy salt.
Have fun with this one! It’s a good excuse to use one of those funky salt boxes and pretend you are on an award winning cooking show! BAM.
May your hearts be light, your plates be full, and your company a riot!
